Your water heater is a very important appliance that is in every home in Wisconsin. As part of your home inspection, we will visually examine the water heater to make sure it is functioning safely on the day of your home inspection.We do find problems and when we do, you can be assured they will appear on your home inspection report. We will make sure the water heater turns on and off using the normal operating controls and we also check for natural gas leaks and carbon monoxide leaks during this evaluation. We do find problems that need to be corrected for the health and safety of the occupants of the home. Take a look at some of the things we have found during home inspections. You may be surprised!
As home inspector, I've found many problems with water heaters including back drafting, poor plumbing, leaking plumbing, and problems with the TPR (Temperature Pressure Relief) Valve.
